Material Options
The right polymer depends on your process chemistry, temperature, and mechanical demands. We help you select the optimal material.
PET (Polyester)
The most widely used filter fabric material. Excellent mechanical strength, good chemical resistance in acidic to neutral conditions. Cost-effective for a wide range of applications.
PP (Polypropylene)
Exceptional resistance to acids and alkalis across the full pH range. Lightweight and hydrophobic. Ideal for chemical processing and wastewater treatment.
PA (Polyamide / Nylon)
High abrasion resistance and elasticity. Well-suited for mineral processing where sharp particles are present. Moderate chemical resistance.
PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone)
Premium material for extreme conditions — temperatures up to 260°C and aggressive chemical environments. Highest durability for the most demanding applications.
Weave Structures
Monofilament
Single-strand yarns create a smooth, low-adhesion surface ideal for clean cake release and resistance to blinding. Best for fine-particle applications.
Multifilament
Multi-strand yarns provide excellent particle retention and high filtrate clarity. Better suited for coarse particles and applications where maximum solids capture is required.
Mixed (Mono/Multi)
Combining both yarn types — monofilament warp with multifilament weft, or vice versa — balances cake release with particle retention.
Optional Coatings
Easy-Release (PTFE)
PTFE-based surface treatment significantly reduces cake adhesion, enabling gravity-assisted discharge and reducing cloth cleaning frequency.
Hydrophobic Treatment
Water-repellent finish that promotes faster dewatering and drier filter cakes. Particularly effective in mineral concentrate dewatering.
Calendering
Heat-and-pressure finishing that smooths the fabric surface, tightens pore size distribution, and improves initial filtrate clarity during the first cycles.
Construction Options
Beyond the base fabric, we offer a range of construction features to optimise performance, sealing, and durability for your specific filter press.
CGR (Drip-Tight Cloth)
Integrated gasket ring vulcanised directly onto the cloth perimeter. Eliminates inter-plate drip leakage completely — no filtrate loss, no workplace contamination. Available for all plate sizes.
Barrel Neck
Reinforced inlet construction around the feed hole. A tubular fabric extension guides the slurry into the chamber, protecting the cloth edge from abrasion and erosion at the high-velocity inlet zone.
Through Cloth (Standard)
Standard construction where slurry enters through the cloth opening. Simple, cost-effective, and suitable for most applications with moderate feed velocities.
Edge Reinforcement
Welded or heat-sealed edges prevent fraying and extend cloth life. Critical for automated plate-shifting systems where cloths are under mechanical stress during opening.
Hole Reinforcement
Grommeted or reinforced feed and drain holes with exact positioning for your plate. Prevents tear-out at high-pressure feed points.
Backing Fabric
A secondary support fabric layer behind the main filter cloth. Adds mechanical strength, improves drainage, and extends service life in high-pressure applications.
Performance Features
Optional treatments and material upgrades to match specific application demands.
Antistatic
Conductive fibres for ATEX zones. Permanent ESD protection.
Food Grade
FDA 21 CFR & EU (EC) 1935/2004 compliant materials.
Easy Cake Release
PTFE coating for non-stick discharge.
Abrasion Resistant
High-tenacity yarns for mining and mineral slurries.
Hydrophobic
Water-repellent finish for maximum dewatering.
Fine Retention
Calendered surface for sub-10 µm clarity.
Seamless
No stitching for pharma & fine chemical purity.
Rubber Neck
Moulded rubber inlet for maximum sealing.
