RF-NF Series — Needle Felt Filter Media
High-performance nonwoven needle felt media for dust collection, liquid filtration, and polishing applications. Depth filtration with superior particle retention.
Series Overview
The RF-NF Series covers our range of nonwoven needle felt filter media — mechanically bonded fibre structures that provide depth filtration with excellent particle retention and dust holding capacity. Unlike woven fabrics that filter primarily at the surface, needle felts capture particles throughout their full thickness, making them ideal for fine particle applications and dust collection.

Material Options
Fibre selection determines temperature resistance, chemical compatibility, and filtration characteristics.
PET (Polyester) Felt
The most widely used needle felt material. Good mechanical strength, moderate chemical resistance, and excellent cost-performance ratio for standard dust collection and liquid filtration.
PP (Polypropylene) Felt
Excellent resistance to acids and alkalis. Ideal for chemical fume extraction, acid mist filtration, and liquid filtration in aggressive chemical environments.
PA (Polyamide) Felt
Superior abrasion resistance for applications with high dust loading and abrasive particles. Used in cement, mineral, and metal processing dust collection.
PTFE / ePTFE Felt
The ultimate needle felt for extreme conditions — temperatures up to 260°C, universal chemical resistance, and very low emissions. Used in waste incineration, chemical plants, and pharmaceutical applications.
Product Forms
Filter Bags
Sewn or welded bags for baghouse dust collectors. Available in all standard sizes and snap-ring/top-hat configurations for pulse-jet cleaning systems.
Roll Goods
Needle felt on the roll for custom fabrication, gasket cutting, and liquid filtration pad applications. Available in widths up to 2,200 mm.
Filter Pads & Discs
Die-cut pads and discs for Nutsche filters, plate filters, and laboratory filtration. Custom shapes available to drawing.
Surface Treatments
PTFE Membrane Lamination
An ePTFE membrane bonded to the felt surface provides near-absolute surface filtration, drastically reducing emissions and enabling easy pulse-jet cleaning.
Singeing / Glazing
Flame treatment of the filter surface creates a smooth, low-adhesion layer that improves cake release and surface filtration characteristics.
Anti-Static Treatment
Conductive fibres or anti-static finishes prevent electrostatic charge buildup — essential for explosive dust applications (ATEX compliance).
Technical Specifications
Approximate values. Actual specifications depend on fibre type, needling density, and surface treatment.
